Awards

Awards will be given to the top 5 finishers in each event and grade division (high school and middle school).

Eligibility

The Bozeman Track Club All-Comer’s Meet is limited to athletes with ages typical for 6th through 12th grades (roughly 11 to 19). The divisions are as Middle School and High School.

Warm-Up Areas

The 200-meter Mondo track will open for warm-up starting at 8 am until 10:30 am. Participants may also warm-up in the North Hallway next to the track. Throwers may only warm up in the throws area. No athletes are allowed to warm-up on the track during oval races. Please do not run in the hallways other than where designated in the North Hallway.

Athlete Packet Pick-up

Packet Pick­up will be at the south main entrance of the MSU Fieldhouse starting at 8 am. Make sure to immediately check name, gender and events entered upon picking up packets. There will be no changes to events entered after the close of online registration on February 2nd. There will be no late entries thereafter, or on the day of competition.

Event Check-in

Clerk of the Course marshaling area for track events is located in the west lobby of the MSU Fieldhouse. There will only be a “first call” and “last call” for each field and track events. Athlete’s “first call” is approximately twenty (20) minutes and “last call” is approximately ten (10) minutes prior to the start of each event. Marshaling for field events will be at the event site on the arena floor by accessing the arena floor via the west lobby. Check-in will be with the Head Official for each field event.

Implement Weigh-Ins

All implements may be weighed in at the throws area up to 30 minutes prior to the start of the event. Middle school boys: 4k, Middle school girls: 6 lb, high school boys 12 lbs, high school girls 4k. For the weight throw, high school boys weight is 25 lbs and high school girls is 20 lbs.

Restrictions

The following restrictions are enforced at the BTC All­-comers Indoor Track Meet:

Only 1/8” or 1/4” (exposed) cone shaped “pyramid” spikes are permitted on all running and jumping surfaces. Absolutely no needle nose, spiral or Christmas tree spikes are allowed!

No metal shots are allowed.

Athletes will not be allowed on the arena floor unless they have a bib number pinned on the front of their uniform, except pole vault, which may be pinned on the back. Bib numbers must be pinned at all four corners.

Parents must remain in the upper bleachers and stay off the arena floor.

Prelims and Finals

All track events will be timed finals with the exception of the high school 60 meter dash and the high school 60 meter hurdles.

Starting Heights

Starting heights may be adjusted by the event judge by their discretion.

High School Starting Heights

  • Girls Pole Vault – 6’06

  • Boys Pole Vault – 8’06

  • Girls High Jump – 4’00

  • Boys High Jump – 5’00

Admissions/Coaches Pass List

There is a $5/person admission for non-participating individuals. Students are free. There is no admission for high school coaches, or coaches with a current 2023 USATF membership that have been added to the coaches pass list. No coaches will be allowed on the arena floor once competition has started for field and track events (including shot put, pole vault and high jump), unless assisting with officiating a field or running events.

Locker Rooms

Changing facilities will be limited to the rest rooms in the MSU Fieldhouse located in the north and south mezzanines.

Results

Official results will be posted on athletic.net and the Bozeman Track Club website.

Drug Testing

Athletes who participate in this competition may be subject to formal drug testing in accordance with USATF and IAAF rules, in accordance with USOC, USADA, or IAAF procedures. Athletes found, after a disciplinary hearing, to be positive for prohibited substances, as defined by the WADA Code and/or IAAF, or who refuse to be tested, will be disqualified from this event and may lose eligibility for future competitions. Any prize money payable to an athlete who has tested positive shall be withheld until the final disposition of all disciplinary proceedings. BEWARE: Some prescriptions, over the counter medications, and nutritional supplements may contain prohibited substances.
