Uniforms & Equipment
Uniforms & Clothing
Athletes should come to practice with appropriate clothing for their events, and for the weather. The winters can be harsh, and even walking outside to and from vehicles can be uncomfortable if not dressed properly.
Athletes should bring the appropriate footwear for their events. Runners should have both trainers and spikes if they intend to race in them. Additionally, since we know athletes at this age outgrow their shoes so quickly, BTC has a limited number of “spikes” in our spike exchange program. Ask your coach about this at practice.
All athletes competing with Bozeman Track Club will need a uniform. These can be purchased here: https://www.bozemantrackclub.org/store or reused year to year. If purchasing a uniform is problematic, please contact chad@bozemantrackclub.org.
BTC Provided Equipment
High quality field event equipment can be expensive and it must be well-maintained to perform well. Because of this, Bozeman Track Club maintains a stock of high quality equipment. We do not require any athlete to bring any event-specific equipment.
Bring Your Own Equipment
We allow athletes bring and use their own equipment (such as javelins or poles for the pole vault), as long as they are safe to use. However, thus is not required! Please contact your event-specific coach at practice if you have any questions.
