Bozeman Optimist Gallatin Valley Youth Track Meet

If you love to run, jump or throw and enjoy ice cream socials — you have to participate in this youth track meet!

The Bozeman Track Club will host its annual Bozeman Optimist Gallatin Valley Youth Track Meet on Saturday, May 19, 2018. The event will be held on the track and field complex at Montana University and is open to all Gallatin Valley area elementary and middle school students between the grades of 3rd to 8th grade.

Intended as a grass-roots program, the purpose of the event is to promote physical fitness and participation for youth in the Gallatin Valley and surrounding area through the sport of track & field.  All public, private and home school children are invited to participate.

Two grade divisions are available: 1) Elementary 3rd, 4th and 5th grades, and 2) Middle School – 6th, 7th and 8th grades.  There is a $5.00 entry fee per participant.  Ribbons will be awarded to the top five finishers in each age group with participant ribbons presented to all competitors.  At the close of the track meet all participants, family, and friends are invited to an ice cream social sponsored by the Bozeman Optimist Club.

Participants may compete in a maximum of up to three events total, exclusive of the 4 x 100 meter relay.  Check-in and packet pickup starts at 8:00 AM Saturday morning with a start time for the track meet of 9:00 AM sharp!  Make sure to review the general information, schedule of events and competition rules provided above “before” proceeding with online registration!
